I am a Comedian and Comedy Educator based in New York City, committed to making stand-up comedy accessible to everyone. My mission is to offer practical insights and passionate guidance to help emerging comedians thrive, while actively championing diversity and inclusivity within the comedy community.
I strive to make comedy welcoming and supportive, ensuring that every voice, from the quirky to the quiet, has a chance to shine in the spotlight.

Bio.
Christi Somers (formerly Chiello) made her television debut on Comedy Central's Roast Battle, opposite legend Jimmy Carr. She was featured on Comedy Central Stand Up Featuring, This Joka presented by Will Smith, TruTV's Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack & Comedy Knockout, Kevin Hart's LOL Network, Chris Gethard Presents & IFC's Comedy Crib.
Christi was named a 'New Face of Comedy' at the International Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. Her one woman show It’s Christi, B*tch! at Joe's Pub was featured in the NY Times and hailed a “must see comedy event” by Time Out New York. Christi is an accomplished voice over artist, currently featured on PBS's Pinkalicious and Peterrific & Adult Swim's Teenage Euthanasia. She made her film debut in 'Molli and Max in the Future,' which premiered at SXSW this year and opened the Lower East Side Film Festival.
After years of teaching stand-up comedy at a collegiate level, Christi co-founded The LaughtHER Collective; a modern comedy school that amplifies womxn+ and underrepresented voices. TLC offers exclusive comedic blueprints and innovative curriculum, consisting of signature workshops, practical coursework, performance platforms, community connection, accountability programs and an empowering mission that’s not just about punchlines but punching through barriers.
Christi is a proud mental health advocate and teamed up with Chris Gethard and the team at Wellness Together to help create Laughing Together; workshops for school communities that bring comedy and mental health together using evidence-informed curricula. Christi also works with the nonprofit organization Stand Up! Girls an after-school program that teaches stand up comedy to girls in underserved communities.
This year, Christi spoke at the Student Mental Wellness Conference in Anaheim, CA on the benefits of using humor and play in the classroom and you can catch Christi opening for Nicole Byer on her national theatre tour!

Christi Chiello is one of my favorite performers. You put her on any stage in NYC and she walks away with the room in the palm of her hand as well as every comic's respect. She can go in and smoke people at a Roast Battle, go charm the New Yorker-reading crowd by putting on a solo show at Joe's Pub, and then go put on the boldest weirdest shit with the Bushwick scene, and everyone in all those corners of comedy walk away feeling like she stole the show.
